Nepal?

Where is Nepal?
I will admit that I agreed to co-lead this trip before I even knew where Nepal was. It is located between China and India with the Himalayas forming the Northern border. We stayed in Kathmandu the entire time, due to petrol shortages and some violence that was occuring in the southern regions.


Our team?
Six women: Sue, Mary, Andrea, Jeanie, Katrina, and me! Yep, just us gals! I wish that I had a dollar for every time that someone told me/us to 'be careful'!


Were you scared?
Never, not once. We did see Maoist demonstrations taking place and there were military and police everywhere but not once did I ever feel unsafe. We walked all over a strange new place, we took crazy taxi rides, we slept in the homes of total strangers - it was so fun!
