Applications for the 2009 Nepal trip are due on September 19th.

This part is hard. The waiting. I remember when I applied for my first Global trip to Ethiopia. The waiting was SO hard. I filled out the application - which was very, very long and involved. Then I had to get three references filled out separately. I wondered - am I really good enough to go on this trip??

It seemed to take forever to hear back from the trip leader that - YES! - I had been accepted for the trip. I was so excited. And a little bit nervous, too.

I'm so glad that I was brave enough to fill out that application. Going on that first trip was such an incredible experience. The motto for these Global Trips is "Short-term Trip, Lifetime Impact". In my case, I would say that is a HUGE understatement!!
