My SIL Rachel [a serious foodie, check out her cooking blog] asked how the Mexican food in Nepal compared to here.
Funny you should ask.
It so happened that the day we were having dinner at the Lazy Gringo was the day that I got sick. I was not about to order Mexican food, so when I waved off the waiter, a lively discussion ensued about stomach ailments. I was horrified; anyone that knows me knows that I NEVER discuss these things. To be the instigator of this conversation, over dinner no less, was totally mortifying. To make matters worse, the Lazy Gringo is a one room restaurant with a single bathroom. So everytime that I had to go and use it, the topic would be revisited in great detail when I returned. So embarrassing.
I did get to try the Lazy Gringo food later in the week, though. We got take out! It was really good and tasted surprisingly authentic.
