Flat Lucy was our team mascot. She started out as a fairly innocent-looking gingerbread cookie-ish doll. By half-way through the trip she bore a frightening resemblance to Bette Davis - the later years.
The Lazy Gringo is Ellen's restaurant in Kathmandu. Did we feel strange dressed in kurthas, holding a gingerbread cookie doll made up like Bette Davis, while standing next to Nepali men wearing sombreros inside an Arizona-style Mexican food restaurant in Kathmandu?? Yep, little bit.
